Whistleridge Associates provides support for children affected by Türkiye and Syria Earthquake
Whistleridge Associates is donating EUR 500 to UNICEF Ireland for emergency aid for the people in Türkiye and Syria who have been affected by the severe earthquakes. UNICEF is working to provide critical life-saving supplies such as food, water, warm winter clothing and blankets for thousands of children and babies, hygiene kits for displaced families, and mother and baby kits.
Across affected areas of Syria, damage has been caused to critical water infrastructure, including several key pumping and treatment plants, water towers, sewage systems, and water tanks in camps for families who were already displaced prior to the earthquake. This increases the risk of waterborne diseases including cholera and acute watery diarrhoea. In Türkiye and Syria, UNICEF’s immediate priority is to ensure children and families affected receive the support they desperately need.
